Farewell to Pak Aji and Pak Iwan

BRIDGE project farewell
With heavy hearts, on 23rd March 2012, we said goodbye to our Indonesian guests as their school and home-stay program came to an end. The VCE Indonesian class of Heathmont College threw a traditional Aussie farewell party with fairy bread, vegemite, lamingtons, Tim Tams and Anzac biscuits. Students also performed a fusion of two-cultures dance that they termed the “Pocorena”, a combination of the Indonesian Poco-Poco dance and the Macarena.
These were followed by speeches and exchange of souvenirs between the Principal team and the Indonesian guests. Our college will continue with this partnership with our Indonesian sister-school by carrying out cross cultural Indonesian curriculum and skyping
